During the gold rush of the mid-1800s, residents from the Basque region of Spain immigrated to the U.S. and settled in the Treasure Valley. Among the most famous Basque restaurants in the region, Epi’s pays homage to Epi Inchausti, a Basque woman who immigrated to the U.S. with her husband in 1929. She was so well known for her talents in the kitchen that her grandchildren honored her with a restaurant 70 years later.
